Phone lines are still down at Amazon, (me thinks they put the phones on down time with this major problem) I have 20 SKU's I listed though AOB yesterday that arent' in the Amazon inventory. Has anybody listed anything this morning? Did it show in your inventory?

Something tells me I will have to go back in my spreadsheet and resubmit these CD's. Good thing I check Amazon after I list a certain amount of inventory to make sure they are posting.

I haven't tried listing anything this morning. I think it'll all shake out OK, but I figure it's not worth the risk.

The last listing I posted last night that shows in my inventory was at 10:52 p.m. Eastern time. I was brave enough to create only five more after that. I did get listing confirmation e-mails, but those five are still not showing up in my inventory anywhere. One of the five sold, but isn't showing in my Closed listings either.

I figured I'd hold off on listing more until Amazon either tells us what's going on or fixes it.

Edit: I wouldn't recommend resubmitting any of those listings, especially if they are already showing up in the marketplace. You'll have duplicate listings.

It figures, I decide I need to do some serious listing and the glitch got there before I did

Hey Barb,

I have zero's showing in my QTY column that I already received SSN from last night. My inventory is showing 8303 items but its not deducting my sales from my inventory quota.
I've had at least 10 sales since yesterday after 3 PM east coast time that aren't showing up in my closed listings either??

They have a major GLITCH and I am not going to add anymore inventory though AOB until Amazon fixes this mess. I even attempted to add a CD directly though Amazon and thats not showing up in my inventory either. I know its not an AOB problem because my 20 CD's have been entered at Half and Alibris.

Yes, it appears that everything is working normally as far as purchasing and our listings showing up (or not, as pertinent) in the marketplace listings; it's just our inventory pages that aren't catching up.

FWIW, I just found one thing actually functioning: I changed a price on one of my existing listings. The price change took right away on my inventory page; took a little longer than usual to be reflected in the marketplace listings, but it did take there too.

Not that this really helps with any of the other issues; it was just heartening to see something listing-related actually work!

The same glitch happened years ago.  It happened on a weekend so not too many people noticed it.  I listed a few books, checked my inventory and they were not there.  I decided to stop listing until the glitch was fixed.  I checked my inventory the next day, nothing.  I listed another book to see if it would appear in my inventory.  It did.  The glitch was not mentioned anywhere.  So, I placed the books I listed the day before in a special spot and labeled them "glitch books".  I sold all over time except one.  This one appears on the product page but I cannot edit it because it does not appear in my inventory.

I have now taken the books I listed yesterday and placed them in a special spot and labeled them "glitch books."

So this may explain why it's taking so long for sales to complete in my payments account. Transaction shows, but the finalized payment has been taking hours -- one was twelve hours! -- to process through.

I don't ship until the money shows!

LOL. My payments account has been fine throughout, but my inventory hasn't updated since last night.

I just had two sales that actually moved to "Closed Listings." So that's progress. But all the previous sales and deletes from the last 24 hours, or whatever its been - they're still showing on my inventory list, but spot checking, I found that they weren't showing on the Amazon Marketplace pages.

Earthmom22,

I know you wont pull any punches. So i'll ask you the question !

Did you list anything yesterday the 18th between 12 noon and 15:25 ?

If so did the item ever appear in your storefront or inventory.

My items are just now within the last hour appearing on the marketplace. As of 14:07 pm PT six or seven have appeared in my store front.

Amazon posted this as an unplanned event finally. I guess the rule is that if a glitch persists for over 24 hours, then it becomes an unplanned event.

My inventory screens, open and closed, still look exactly like they did at about 3pm yesterday, despite changing prices on about 10 items, having 4 sales and 15 new listings. But, the edit item and actual product pages accurately reflect the -4 and +15 and changed prices.

Bottom line is that the only thing that is really affected is the ability to edit any of the new listings. If I do any more new listings tonight, I will be very careful to get it right the first time.

...stenz

p.s. none of the new listings are showing in my storefront, but they are on the product pages

add p.s.

Nothing is appearing that I listed on the 17th & 18th  , but those listed today are there .   Amazon is totally irresponsible whe it comes to this sort of stuff & then to have their phone lines down  apears to be nothing but running scared .

Could it be fixed? My items that have sold yesterday and today are now in closed listings - all of them. The few I listed & edited before I knew about the glitch are now in open listings.

Amazon seems to need glitches just before holidays. Don't know why, but it's happened each of the four years we've been selling here. Just remeber that 3-day complete shut down last year. That'll larn us all! - lol.

I came home with a trove of books on economics and am eager to list them.

Hey, thanks for the free advertisement! LOL.
