Just curious what that other site is, what are the issues that you have with it, and whether or not Amazon has similar issues (or worse).
Often, those who leave another site to come to Amazon find themselves out of the frying pan and into the fire.

you know the big "E" one.. I still sell on there but there listing prices have just gone through the roof and the traffic seems to have dissappeared recently even though "they" say they havent done anything differently

If it is a different edition, it shouldn't be on that page at all.
As for removing the links - I didn't see what was referred to, but if the links just go to a store where the purchasing is done via Amazon, you are allowed to include them.

Fee comparison for your $163 motorcycle dryer (assume S&H is a wash, though it probably isn't).
Amazon: $.99 transaction fee plus $1.15 closing fee plus 19.56 commission for a fee total of $21.70
Amazon pro merchant: $1.15 closing fee plus 19.56 commission for a fee total of $20.71
eBay store: $.10 listing fee (for a month) plus $5.03 Paypal fee plus $11.52 final value fee for a fee total of $16.65
eBay 'buy it now': $.35 listing fee plus $5.03 Paypal fee plus $16.17 final value fee for a fee total of $21.55
eBay auction starting and selling at $163: $2.00 listing fee plus $5.03 Paypal fee plus $7.02 final value fee for a fee total of $14.05

If you have previously been with the big E, you really should read the discussion thread, THIS ISN'T EBAY. This really spells out the big differences, and especially things you CAN'T do here that you should do there, and vice versa.
As for traffic, well.... read the current threads - there are three or four complaining right now about slow sales. It's that way all over - we are in recession (I don't care what the official line is).

"but mine is the revised edition that is more valuable and I believe I put that in my description."
On the same page you are selling from, which is for that revised edition, there are a total of 45 listings for used copies. 42 of those are priced cheaper than yours. Many are also described as "Like New," with several under $10.
The other Harley Davidson book seems also to be overpriced, though not as badly.
I did not attempt to compare prices on the two books that you appear to have created listings for. You might want to re-think the angle from which you take your photos. A flat view of the front cover is a bit more customary
