My guess is that it wasn't the bad feedback per se that got them shut down but all the A toZ claims Amazon had to pay. If they had been still generating money for AZ they would probably still be here.

They still have store fronts. I doubt they are shut down.

Yes, but none of their items are available to purchase, even if you click on them.

Jeez, each has had about 30% negative feedback the past month. I sure hope they're shut down, even if it's only temporary. Barb

wow, that's gotta hurt. it did seem there was a double standard for the "big boys" a certain pacadern did things, that if any of us had done, we'd be in big trouble. IMHO. interesting indeed. kat

Think you're right about A-to-Z claims. Several megasellers have gone belly up this year and last. Hard to stay in business when you're working for peanuts.

They were probably all right when sales were booming but now that they've slowed down they can't get the volume they need any more. Ironically I place the blame for a lot of the slowdown on their own shenanigans. Book sales overall are probably up (not sure) but the pie has to be cut into smaller pieces now.

Maybe they are switching over to the fulfillment program? When FBA first started we saw sellers who participated feedbacks dwindle and thought they were out of business, but they were transferring their inventory to the Amazon warehouses, so business slowed down during the change. Possible? Reason being, it just seems that there are different rules for these bigger sellers where they don't get shut down, they get hit with fines instead, but continue to be in business. But again, maybe some other larger and long time Amazonian can add more info. Bev

I don't know Carlos, but webuymedia was a thorn in my side. I think they did drop shipping, because many of their feedbacks complained of slow delivery.

Some take quite a while to discover that you can't use volume to create a profit if you're not making a decent profit on each individual sale. Ernie

I also noticed that webuymedia was in a repricing spiral with pacyderm on many items. Maybe they couldn't make that model work work them.
And, I felt the thorn, too. Maybe the trunked seller had something to do with the WBM shutdown?

Obviously "Carlos" was never called that when they were still legit. It appears their name used to be "kaitech".

Perhaps...the inevitable BURN-OUT...? Any business plan that relies on "shipping and handling" for their profit margins...is on thin ice... Now, how about the rest of the penny sellers...?
