Amazon Down?

Check the Amazon site and see if you are able to reach it. As of 12:56PM Central, our staff gets the following error:
"Http/1.1 Service Unavailable"
Is this systemic or just my location? I'm able to connect to all other websites.
Thanks,

I get the same message when I try to log onto my other sites, such as B&N, but after just a few seconds, I'm in. The only one I can't get into is Amazon. Not good when I've got books to package and just got an SSN. I can get into Endicia, so I'll have to type the addresses in. That's the only good news... Renee

Now this is weird. I tried logging into Amazon on another browser window and got the same message. I don't dare log out of here. It looks like as long as we are in, we're ok. Of course this means no one can get in and buy anything. We're now like monkeys in a cage. We're sitting here looking out at all the people wanting to come in and see us, but can't.

Oy, I hope it's fixed soon: We can be an unruly lot of monkeys. Barb

The Monkeys Shall Speak!
Hey, who here got the last sale before things crashed. I had one at 12:32PM (10:32AM Pacific per these boards). I think the crash took place around 10:50AM Pacific?
Anybody closer?

Scary stuff - this is something BIG that happened. I hope they weren't hacked or compromised. These boards are up but the entire revenue generating site is not?? I hope it gets resolved very soon. I feel bad for the techs who are scrambling. (reminder that mercury is retrograde just now.....)

Anybody closer? Not I! ___________________ Only problem with us monkeys around here is that we head to the Soapbox expecting to shoot the sh--. Then the site is down a while, everyone gets grumpy, and it becomes more like flinging monkey pies at one another's heads. Barb
