The Amazon Marketplace Returns Policy has been revised to provide a new timeline for buyers to contact sellers in cases where they have received an item that is damaged, defective, or materially different than depicted in the website listing. Previously, buyers were required to contact sellers within 7 days of receiving a damaged, defective or materially different item. Now, buyers must contact sellers no later than 14 days after receipt to advise sellers of product issues and arrange a return. Returns must still be sent within 30 days after shipment. The additional time for contacting sellers to arrange returns will provide a better experience for buyers who receive gifts and buyers whose packages arrive while they are away from home. In the case of A-to-z Guarantee claims, Amazon expects buyers and sellers to meet the qualifications stated in our published policy. Buyer claims may be denied if a seller was not advised within 14 days of receipt that a damaged, defective, or materially different item was received or if the item was returned to a seller postmarked more than 30 days after it was shipped to the buyer.
