To help you decide which used and new textbooks to include for sale on Amazon Marketplace, we are providing the following list of bestselling textbook titles.

These textbook ASINS were top sellers during the peak weeks of the January 2009 textbook season.* Due to seasonality, books that are big sellers for the spring term (January) may not be indicative of the books that will sell in the fall term (August). Also, historical sales on Amazon Marketplace may not be indicative of future sales, as used textbooks have a limited lifespan.

When listing textbooks, it is important to note the publication date and edition type. For the best buying experience, sellers should be careful to match the ISBN of the textbook they're listing to the exact detail page on Amazon.com to ensure that the title and edition are correct. Sellers should also note differences in cover art when checking for matches.

For example, the fifth most popular selling textbook on this year's list, Marieb's Human Anatomy & Physiology (7th Edition) has been in circulation since January 2006. The twenty-first most popular item on our list is a more recent multi-media edition, Human Anatomy & Physiology with IP-10 CD-ROM (7th Edition) (MyA&P Series). In January 2009, Marieb's Human Anatomy and Physiology (8th Edition) was published. While all three editions of this textbook have value and can be sold on Amazon Marketplace, demand for the most recent edition will increase and soon will be greater than demand for the older editions.
