Beginning August 13, 2009, we will remove "Collectible" book offers that have not been listed by sellers approved in the category. Once listings are removed, only collectible offers from approved sellers will be available for purchase in the Amazon.com Books store. The Collectible books category was limited to approved sellers beginning on April 19, 2009. At that time, we announced that we would provide at least 45 days for sellers to apply for approval to list in the category or to remove their "Collectible" book listings from the website. Next week, we will remove any remaining listings from non-approved sellers. If you want to request approval to list Collectible Books, please see the Collectible Books Requirements page in Seller Help. When a book is listed as "Collectible," customers should be confident that it has been accurately graded and described and that the book has qualities that make it valuable to a collector. When collectible listings from non-approved sellers are removed from offering pages, they will appear in the "Closed" listing section of your seller inventory pages. In order to continue offering these items, new listings must be created in "Used" condition. Please keep in mind that you must match your item to the Amazon.com product detail page. This includes matching the title, author, publisher, date of publication, and binding. Individual sellers can use the "Re-list" feature to edit the condition of an item. Pro Merchants can also use Amazon's bulk listing tools to remove sellable inventory from current listings and then upload new condition information for their SKUs. If you have feedback about these changes, please write to collectible-books-feedback@amazon.com. Thank you for selling on Amazon.com.
