I do not think I listed more than 1 qty. I am not sure how I can check on this.

Did you save your listing confirmation e-mail?

Can you still get into your Seller's Account? If so, go to "View Your Current Inventory" (left side of page). From there, go to "Closed Listings". When you find the sale for item that DID go through (not the pending that eventually went through), it should tell you what your quantity available after the sale would be.

That being said, if it was an Amazon glitch (I personally have not seen one like this, but I'm sure others have), it probably wouldn't have deleted your original quantity anyway.

I checked closed listing and it was listed only once, right now it show 0 qty. I checked original listing email and it says qty 1. I believe I edited listing to adjust price, but did not relist item.

Dear jimjim

The e-mail you received tells you EXACTLY what to do. Write it out first (I prefer pen & paper, as that allows me to organize the points I wish to make in a logical fashion) and
assure Amazon that you have altered your inventory practices in such a way as to
ensure this will not happen again.

NEVER relist an item that is in pending! Read and follow Amazon's e-mail instructions
(specifically, when they tell you to not relist while it's in pending - it says so right in the
"do not ship" e-mail. This is all automatically performed by Amazon, and if the sale is
cancelled, they will relist for you.)

If you assign your own SKU's (highly recommend this practice!), and place your item
in the proper inventory area AS SOON AS IT"S LISTED for sale, you won't EVER list
an item twice (well, if you later run across another copy, then, yes, you will have it listed
twice....but, then, you will have 2 separate copies, each in a separate inventory area,
so you won't pull the incorrect one & send it off).

So, write a nice letter to Amazon explaining what steps you're taking to ensure this
never happens again. Then put it in e-mail form and send it to where they told you to send it.

The e-mail makes it quite clear the time frame you are limited to for your response,
and what your response MUST include.

Good luck.

this is crazy. I received 2 listing confirm emails, but when I check "all listings" I only see the one item.

Don't forget, if you need help composing it so that it sounds PROFESSIONAL,
apologetic (or at least contrite), polite, and cooperative, post it here BEFORE
sending it to Amazon, and seasoned sellers will pitch in with suggestions/help.

(some suggestions are simple but brilliant - polish the grammar, use spell-check,
basics like that)(brilliance doesn't always have to be prolix, convoluted, or
difficult)

Ship them when you get the "sold-ship now" e-mail -- not before.

Why do you think they might be "tied up for months"? I cannot imagine that happening
to an Amazon order.

When you ship those two, when you compose your e-mail, you might also enclose the
order ID AND TRACKING NUMBERS for those two shipments; gives Amazon a heads-up
that you're being professional and "takin' care of business".

IF you get the suspension resolved, they'll PROBABLY hold your funds 30 days; possibly 90 days.

If the suspension turns into "Banned", count on the full 90 days withholding of your funds.

If you do NOT follow their instructions, the suspension WILL turn into "BANNED".

Two weeks ago my Sterling Silver blue venetian glass earrings were in pending for something like five days. They were still listed on Amazon even though I had a 1 quantity on them at the time. I changed the quantity to 0 and am glad that I caught the problem. I found it odd because never before has that happened. We could have been experiencing the same glitch.

interesting, the order is almost a month old so it is not fresh and I don't recall the details, but I don't know how it was listed twice. I only sell one of a kind items. I hope I can get this resolved without being banned. It could be a glitch I just don't know now.
